“I recently graduated from UTSA in the fall of 2018. My favorite part of attending UTSA was being a member of the UTSA Mariachi Los Paisanos. My first year there, there seemed to be more support for the organization, however the program was eventually cut and we were forced to participate on our own as an unsupported club. Fortunately, in my final semester Mariachi was back on the curriculum and we had enough students interested to keep the class going. I have decided to stay in San Antonio after graduation and I hope to see the tradition of the Mariachi continue to grow at UTSA.”
