UTSA requires employees to take a Refresher Training each year. This is designed to refresh the rules and policies that UTSA has established. top

I am a temporary employee or student employee, do I have to take compliance training?
Yes, as of November 1, 2006, UTSA requires all employees to compete compliance training. top

How long will this training take?
Compliance Refresher Training take approximately 30-40 minutes, you do not have to take it all in one sitting.  Just be sure that you complete all you Refresher Training by your due date.top

You can access and complete your compliance training form any computer that has internet access. Click here to access the Learning Source

What if I just did Compliance Training?
If you have not done Compliance Training in the past 12 months you are required to complete it at this time. If you have done Compliance training within the past 12 months and recently been assign Compliance Training, please contact Erica Garcia 458-6621 and we will access your Compliance Training history. top

What if I don't know my UTEID or password?
If you do not know your UTEDI or your password please contact the
Institutional Compliance at 458-4992. top

Why do I get so many emails that my staff has to do Compliance Training?
As a supervisor you will receive an email if an employee on your staff does not have an email listed in DEFINE. You will also receive an email if an employee on your staff is past due on their Compliance Training. top

What happens if I do not take Compliance Training ?
All UTSA employees have to take Compliance Training. New employees have to take Compliance Training and existing employee have to take Compliance Training once a year. If you are assigned Compliance Training you will be notified by email. If you do not complete you training by your due date your supervisor is notified and Vice Presidents are notified of those employees who are not in compliance. top

How will I know if I have to take Compliance Training ?
If you are required to complete Compliance Training you will be notified by email. If you do not have your email listed in DEFINE your supervisor will receive an email notifying them that you are required to complete Compliance Training. top

As a director, how can I check if my staff has complete their Compliance Training?
You may check the status of your departments Compliance Training.  Directors, log into the Learning Source; http://www.utsatraining.com . On the right side of the screen there is a training history link indicated with a gold star.  By clicking that link you will get a list of all employees within your department, click on their name and you will see their entire training history.  If you do not have access to this please call Erica Garcia in the Compliance office 458-6621. top
