In the field of Psychology, a dyad refers to two individuals who interact socially. Under the direction of Dr. Tina Zawacki, current research in the DYAD Lab addresses the role of alcohol consumption and other factors in HIV-related decision making during social interactions.

We currently are conducting a series of alcohol administration experiments that examine the effects of acute intoxication and other factors on social cognition and behavior during dyad interactions in the laboratory, as well as an anonymous computer-administered interview study regarding alcohol-related social and health outcomes.
