Scientific background and major interests:
The major point of my scientific interest is primary isotope record in organic sediments and organic matter, especially 13C/12C, 34S/32S and D/H (in the peat, soils, plants and tree rings, etc.) and the isotope effects during photosynthesis. Environmental variations during vegetation results in various isotope fractionation in various plants. Therefore, peat profiles are potentially abundant archive to reconstruct past climates and global carbon budged.
The second major point in my scientific interest is the weathering chemical and physical control of oxygen stable isotope variations in hydrated silicates (especially opals and chrysoprases). The oxygen stable isotopic analysis of silicates is the powerful toll to reconstruction the origin of the silicates deposit. The obtained/calculated temperature of crystallization characterizes the origin condition during the minerals forming.
