IS 1403 Test Out Set-up

The 2007 version of Microsoft Office will only be available for Test Out until December 20, 2011.

Before you can begin testing, you must purchase an access code packet for “myitlab Go! With Microsoft Office 2010” in order to access the testing website and practice exams.

All the testing modules must be taken at Testing Services.

A“myitlab Go! With Microsoft Office 2010” access code must be purchased online with a credit card by going to www.myitlab.com.  Look for the second box on the left on their home page and click the Learn how to obtain one” link. Once you have purchased the access code packet, you must register online on your personal computer and create a USER ID and PASSWORD. Follow the on-screen instructions. To complete the registration process, you will also need the following information:

  • Valid e-mail address
  • 2010 Course ID – CRSABLJ-829771 (if you are registered with Disability Services and qualify for extended time, please contact Testing Services for a different Course ID)
  • Student access code – located in your packet or online
  • School location – United States
  • School zip code – 78249
  • School name – UTSA

Once you are ready to practice for the exams, go to www.myitlab.com and log in with your myitlab user id and password. All students have access to computers in the computing labs located in the BB, MS, or Frio Street buildings.  If you wish to practice on your personal computer or laptop, log on to www.myitlab.com. Click on the Installation Wizard in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Follow directions to download the necessary programs and/or change the required Internet settings.

For technical support, most pages on the myitlab web site have a “support” link. If you cannot find a “support” link, go to http://247.prenhall.com or http://pearsoned.com to find answers or contact a technical support representative.

Important Parking Notice See Below:
All visitors coming to campus for the purpose of taking a test at Testing Services must get a Visitor parking hangtag from one of the visitor booths (John Peace Boulevard on the north side of campus and Edward Ximenes on the south side) prior to parking on campus. Go to the visitor booth and tell the staff person that you are on campus for testing. You will be required to show your testing paperwork. The Visitor Booths are open Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, and 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Fridays. You may park in the General Student (unmarked spaces) spaces in lots 5 or 8 only on weekends.

You may not utilize this process if you are a current student. If you have not yet registered for classes you may utilize this process.

Visitors who are not taking a test, or are registered students, faculty, or staff, must park at the short-term parking spaces and pay the associated fee. Short-term spaces are located on the north and south sides of campus:
North Campus - in the numbered spaces on the roof of the Parking Garage on Margaret Tobin
South Campus - in the numbered spaces in lots 5 or 8 only
