ACT

The ACT examination is administered to students who are seeking admission into Universities. This is a paper and pencil exam and has four sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning.

NOTE: Starting in 2005, ACT will have two test options-the ACT Assessment and the ACT Assessment Plus Writing (which includes a 30-minute Writing Test). While not all colleges and universites will require the Writing Test, UTSA will. Check with the college/university you plan to attend or go to www.actstudent.org for a list of institutions that require or recommend the Writing Test.

Prior to 2005, the Writing Test will not be required for admission to UTSA. However, any ACT Test taken in 2005 and sent to UTSA for admission WILL REQUIRE the new Writing Test.
