IS 1403 Test Out Process Information
The 2007 version of Microsoft Office will only be available for Test Out until December 20, 2011.
NOTE: If you have previously enrolled in a section of IS1403 and received a grade, you cannot test-out of this course.
After completion, IS 1403 credit will take 2-4 weeks to appear on your records.
Students who need this course to declare a major or as a course pre-requisite should give themselves a minimum of 2-3 months for the testing process and credit posting to be completed.
IS1403 consists of four modules: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. You must receive at least a 70% overall average on all four modules to receive credit for this course. You will receive credit only; no grade is assigned. Exams may be taken in any order. All exams must be taken within a four-month period beginning on the day of your first exam. If you do not receive credit or do not complete the test-out process by the end of the four months, you must wait six months to retest, or you may enroll in the course.
Before you can begin testing, you must purchase an access code packet for “myitlab Go! With Microsoft Office 2010” in order to access the testing website and practice exams. After the software has been installed on your computer and you have established your user ID and password, you must complete the IS 1403 Disclaimer at the Testing Services office before you may schedule your first test session.
All the testing modules must be taken at Testing Services.
The fee for this test-out series is $25.00 and is payable by check or money order at your first testing appointment.
