Every organization has a set of stories, or folklore, that gives it a unique flavor. These stories are often told and passed on from generation to generation. Over the years, the stories are added to and changed. Folklore is rarely recorded. For generations of UTSA family members to come, I have recorded the folklore of UTSA as it was told to me. Shortly after my freshman year, I heard most of these stories for the first time. Some have evolved since then. A history of the University and its traditions is included for good measure. These stories belong to every member of the UTSA family. Everyone should tell them as often as possible. |
