FISCAL MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS GUIDE

Comprehensive Property Protection Overview

The University of Texas at San Antonio currently owns buildings and contents with a replacement value of approximately $440 million.

The U.T. System CPPP program consists of three layers:

  1. The University of Texas at San Antonio has a deductible of $250,000 per loss occurrence.
  2. System-wide Reserve Fund that pays losses above an institution's deductible up to $5 million. The reserve layer is funded by annual contributions by the components, as well as an initial allocation by the Board of Regents of $5 million.
  3. Commercial Insurance for all buildings and contents would cover losses in excess of $5 million, including deductible.
