The university fields Men's teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor & outdoor track & field, and tennis.

The women compete in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor/outdoor track and field, and volleyball.

UTSA will host the NCAA 2008 Men's Final Four and the 2010 Women's Final Four Basketball Championships.

The Athletic Fee paid as a part of the Tuition and Fee structure, provides admittance to all UTSA regular season conference and non-conference sporting events held on campus.

The UTSA Cheerleaders & Chaparelle Dance Line support and enhance the athletic program. Try-outs for both teams are held each spring.

More Athletics Information

By 2010, UTSA will have hosted 11 major NCAA Championships in a 13-year period. The Roadrunners made school history in 2004 as both NCAA Tournament participant and Men's Final Four host.

Recruitment of student athletes at the NCAA Division I level is highly competitive and carefully regulated. Students interested in becoming a Roadrunner student-athlete can initiate contact with the UTSA coaching staff by completing a Prospective Student-Athlete Questionnaire for the sport of interest.

The Intramural Sports program at the UTSA Recreation Center is structured to provide students, faculty and staff the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive and recreational sports activities. Intramural Sports features short term, on-campus competition in traditional, and some not-so-traditional, sports. All intramural sports include divisions for men, women, and co-rec (men and women playing on the same team).

Campus Recreation is committed to sponsoring and support club sports in Fencing, Men's LaCrosse, Power lifting, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Tennis, and Women's Volleyball.
