What is involved in the cost?

The first cost to consider is tuition and fee costs. Click here to view the Tuition and Fee Schedules. There will be two columns for semester totals; one for Texas Residents and one for Non-Texas Residents. Identify the row that coincides with the number of hours planned. When consulting this, consider it with a 3% to 5% increase.

For example, A Texas resident planning to enroll for 13 hours the first semester, would be charged $3,019.25 for tuition and fees for this current term.

NOTE:
Most of UTSA's first-time FR enroll for at least 12 hours and normally no more than 15.

Books can vary from $300. to $1000. per term. The total cost depends upon the type of classes and availability of used books.

Living expenses are dependant on each individual situation. The cost for on-campus housing, meal plans are available in the housing section of this booklet and their website.
