The mission of the UTSA Alumni Association is to Promote and Serve the University and its Alumni. The active role of alumni ensures UTSA’s ability to reach its fullest potential. The UTSA Alumni Association connects you with a family of loyal alumni giving back to promote excellence. Your involvement and commitment strengthens the quality of the institution. IMPACT
You, as one of more than 76,000 alumni, are more important than ever as UTSA moves forward to become Texas’ next flagship institution. Annual membership dues support programs that generate thousands of dollars each year for student scholarships. Life memberships grow the association’s endowment, a dedicated source of funds for scholarships. Alumni members serve on university advisory councils to develop centers of excellence. The association networks with community and corporate leaders to promote UTSA’s role in the educational and economic development of South Texas.

BENEFITS
Membership has its rewards! Members receive the Sombrilla magazine, Alumni Notes newsletter and monthly Alumni eNotes electronic update. Members reconnect with classmates using the online alumni directory and receive discounted rates on extended education classes, campus parking, and official UTSA Alumni Store, where you can purchase apparel and the Official UTSA Ring. Membership in the UTSA Recreation Center is now open to all Alumni Association members and their spouses for a low monthly fee, paid separately. Members may enroll in a special life insurance program and apply for the UTSA Alumni Association credit card on our Alumni Services page. Members also enjoy access to the UTSA Library and the Career Services’ Job Bank.

EVENTS
The association sponsors a full calendar of activities to bring alumni together—membership guarantees your invitation! Enjoy special activities such as Homecoming, athletic events, business breakfasts, fine arts performances and alumni mixers. The highlight of the year is the Alumni Gala that honors the most distinguished alumni and raises funds for student scholarships. You are never too far from your UTSA family because volunteers across the country plan local events in your area.
