ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Selection of the recipients will be determined by the UTSA Alumni Association Scholarship Committee, based on demonstration of scholastic promise and participation in school, church, or community activities.

Incoming Freshmen
Any incoming freshman interested in applying must meet the following requirements:

  • 900 SAT or 20 ACT, and in the top 25% of their class
  • has been admitted to and will take a minimum of 12 hours in the Fall semester at UTSA
     
 


2008-2009

 


Each applicant must submit the following information no later than February 15:

1. completed application form

2. biographical essay

3. two letters of recommendation from school officials (teachers, administrators or counselors), employers or extracurricular activity advisors

4. official transcript

5. copy of SAT or ACT scores if not on transcript


TRANSFER AND CURRENT STUDENTS

Any transfer or current student interested in applying must meet the following requirements:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA

  • transfer or current student taking a minimum of 12 hours for the Fall semester at UTSA


Each applicant must submit the following information no later than February 15
:

1. completed application form

2. biographical essay

3. two letters of recommendation from school professors, employers or extracurricular activity advisors

4. copy of academic transcript

Incomplete applications will not be considered.


SPECIAL CRITERIA SCHOLARSHIPS

Master's in Public Administration
IVOR H. AND SEWELL M. SCHULTZ MPA SCHOLARSHIP

Selection Criteria:
Senior at UTSA scheduled to graduate during the current academic year and planning to attend UTSA in the MPA program during the following academic year or current UTSA student enrolled in MPA program.

  • Minimum GPA 3.0 (cumulative)

  • Preference given to non-traditional, female students

  • Preference given to students with financial need

Seniors planning to study law
MJ SIMONSON MEMORIAL
PRE-LAW SCHOLARSHIP

Selection Criteria:

  • Graduating Senior at UTSA

  • Planning to attend law school upon graduation

  • Minimum 3.0 UTSA grade point average

  • Preference given to non-traditional students

  • Demonstrated financial need

Deadline: August 15
