Meet the 2008-2009 UTSA Student Alumni Scholars!

 

   
 

Charles "Nick" Crain
Scholarship Benefactor: Gregg and Sydney Muenster '00

Classification: Freshman, UTSA Honors College - first year scholarship recipient
Major: Biology
High School: MacArthur High School, San Antonio, Texas
Honors/Awards: Member of J.E.T.S. T.E.A.M.S. Engineering Team(finished 1st in state, 2nd in nation), National Honor Society
Community Service: Volunteered and visited elderly at Chandler Nursing Home, Keep Mac Beautiful, promoted neighborhood and recycling and environmental awareness.

Future Plans: Attend medical school and become a physician.

"I wish to become a doctor and provide efficient, quality health care to people. My grandmother recently underwent serious surgery and received excellent care from a gifted physician. This made me realize how important it is to not only have medical skills, but to treat all patients with kindness and compassion."

Future Plans: To obtain Ph.D. and M.D. degrees and a career as a neurosurgeon
