The College of Architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio is pleased to present our study abroad program in Spain.  The program will be based in Barcelona, Spain in collaboration with the Barcelona Architecture Center (BAC), an organization within the framework of the Fundacio Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (FUPC).  The students will study at the BAC facilities in the center of Barcelona, and will reside in a nearby dormitory facility.  The anticipated number of spaces available for the spring semester, 2009 is 14 - 16.

The program includes the following:
instruction (up to 12 credits hours)
trips
Day trips: weekly bus or train trips to nearby sites
museums
Most entry fees are covered when a part of an organized trip (see above)
accommodations
Dormitory accommodations (3-4 students per room) including showers, weekly changes of bedding, laundry coupons good for 6 lbs. of laundry per week,
not included: meals, beverages at meals, lunches on field trips, studio supplies, books, toiletries, independent travel, and other discretionary spending.

faculty & curriculum
It is anticipated that one UTSA College of Architecture faculty member will travel with the students and offer two seminar / lecture courses.  The BAC will provide a faculty member for the design studio.
