ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The review of papers for the conference will be conducted on two stages. The first stage will involve a blind peer review of short abstracts. The acceptance of the abstract in this stage will result in an invitation to submit a full paper for peer-review.

Submitted abstracts should not exceed 500 words. Images (72 dpi) may be included as part of the abstract if they enhance the text and are an integral element of the abstract The deadline for abstracts submission is Friday October 17, 2008 at 5 pm CST. All abstracts must be submitted in electronic form through the conference web site.

Only abstracts describing original research related to the conference theme, issues, and topics and not published elsewhere will be accepted. All abstracts will go through a blind, peer reviewed process. The selection criteria is based on relevance to the conference theme, clear statement(s) of intentions and objectives, and clearly defined methodology/implementation. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by November 14, 2008, and will be invited to submit their full papers for peer-review. The deadline for full paper submission is Friday, January 9th, 2009 at 5 pm CST.

PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Following the abstract peer review, authors selected to submit full papers to the conference will be notified by the organizing committee. Full papers are due Friday 1/9/2009 at 5 pm CST.

All full papers will go through a blind peer review process. Papers will be evaluated based on relevance to the conference theme, clear statement(s) of intentions and objectives, appropriately developed literature, background and acknowledgment, clearly defined methodology/implementation, and scholarly analyses of outcomes. Reviews of well-written papers will include structure, content, style, rigor, and contribution to the field.

Papers will be limited to 8 pages, including illustrations. Please follow the paper template formatting guidelines (available here). Papers will be submitted digitally through the conference website (click here to submit your full paper).

Submitted papers must be a WORD DOCUMENT FORMAT (PDF's will not be accepted). Files should be named as follows: (papernumber)-V1.doc for example: 150-V1.doc , Submitted files should not exceed 5 MB (including illustrations).

Authors of accepted papers will be notified by February 9, 2009, and will present their papers orally at the conference. Please note that authors need to register by February 23, 2009 (early registration) in order to have their papers appear in the conference proceedings. Authors of a multi-authored paper who are not presenting the paper, yet attending the conference, still pay the full registration fee.

Both a digital and a hard copy of the conference proceedings will be developed. The digital copy will be mailed to the conference participants after the conference, while the hard copy will be made available on demand.
