Malcolm Holzman Lecture

Holzman, a founding partner of New York City’s Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates and now a principal of Holzman Moss Architecture, is author of A Material Life, a book that explores his relationships with and thoughts about the variety of building materials he has used throughout his career. Those materials include glazed tile, glass, metal, wood, clay, sustainable materials, materials appropriated from other sources, and the use of art in architecture. He is also the author of Stone Work: Designing with Stone. Holzman has completed commissions in 25 states, and his work shows a diversity of design solutions, adapted to the region of each project. He is a fellow of the AIA, and a former trustee of the Amon Carter Museum and Pratt Institute.
