Assessment

TracDat Resources

TracDat software will be used for documenting planning and assessment activities undertaken by each administrative unit, college, department, and academic program as identified by each Vice Presidential area at the University of Texas at San Antonio (USA). The model adopted by the University is based on The James Nichols Institutional Effectiveness process and the software is designed by Nuventive, Inc.

Within TracDat, the Assessment Unit (AU) is the primary unit where assessment takes place. There are two major categories of Assessment Units. Each category has its own language for assessment as well as an individualized user guide as described below.

Strategic Planning Based assessment units are Academic Departments or Administrative Units that have a strategic plan organized around UTSA 2016.

Outcomes-Based assessment units are all Academic Programs (e.g. BA English) or Administrative Units that have DO NOT a strategic plan.
