Central Receiving announces new delivery procedureThe Office of Central Receiving is the primary destination for shipments on the 1604 Campus. However, the Central Receiving Warehouse (CRW) currently does not have the capability to deliver large items. Therefore, effective immediately CRW staff will coordinate the delivery of oversized items with Facilities Services at no cost to UTSA departments. If you have an oversized or heavy shipment requiring special handling, the item can be drop-shipped directly to your location, possibly with an additional cost from the vendor. If you choose drop-shipping, the PB4 form must include exact shipping instructions. Keep in mind that 18-wheel trucks will not fit into the tunnel. In order for proper processing of the receiving report, a staff member must be available to receive and inspect the item, and then notify Central Receiving of its receipt by e-mail or by calling 458-7521. A receiving report is required before the Office of Disbursements can process a vendor payment. More information: Marvin Gallo, 458-4592
