Once again, the UTSA Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management will host Recyclemania, a friendly, nationwide competition that provides college and university recycling programs across the United States and Canada with a fun, proactive activity to enhance waste reduction. This year's competition runs Jan. 22-March 31. UTSA will attempt to surpass last year's 188,184 pounds of recyclable materials and placement in the Gorilla category of 103rd of 363 schools. The materials that are kept out of the landfill include aluminum cans, paper, plastic and cardboard.
For details about Recylemania, watch next week for a story on UTSA Today.
In the UTSA Handbook of Operating Procedures (HOP), the following policy has been revised to address institutional requirements. Periodic updates to the HOP online will be announced in @UTSA.
