Human Resources offers financial and tax planning seminar Feb. 7 and 8The UTSA Office of Human Resources will host a Financial and Tax Planning Seminar (course PD 512) from noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Frio Street Building Room 1.402 at the Downtown Campus and from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8 in the University Center Travis Room (2.202) at the Main Campus. A representative from VALIC, one of the approved retirement providers, will present the seminars. To attend a seminar, register through MyTraining. UTSA will compete again in Recyclemania Jan. 22-March 31Once again, the UTSA Office of Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management will host Recyclemania, a friendly, nationwide competition that provides college and university recycling programs across the United States and Canada with a fun, proactive activity to enhance waste reduction. This year's competition runs Jan. 22-March 31. UTSA will attempt to surpass last year's 188,184 pounds of recyclable materials and placement in the Gorilla category of 103rd of 363 schools. The materials that are kept out of the landfill include aluminum cans, paper, plastic and cardboard. For details about Recylemania, watch next week for a story on UTSA Today.
HOP changes: Updated policyIn the UTSA Handbook of Operating Procedures (HOP), the following policy has been revised to address institutional requirements. Periodic updates to the HOP online will be announced in @UTSA.
