Sheri Hardison, CPA, to Serve as Interim Associate Vice President for Financial Affairs

SheriHardisonUTSA Vice President for Business Affairs Kathryn Funk-Baxter has appointed Sheri Hardison to serve as Interim Associate Vice President for Financial Affairs and University Controller. Hardison will be responsible for overseeing all areas of UTSA’s Office of Financial Affairs, including the positions of Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting, Associate Director of Accounting, Director of Financial Services and Bursar, Financial Affairs Communication Manager and Senior Director of Financial Information Systems. 

Sheri came to UTSA in 2014 as Assistant Vice President, Financial Affairs and University Controller. She previously served as Associate VP of Finance and Assistant Treasurer for The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Starting in 1996, Sheri climbed the ranks at professional services company PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC). A key member of the audit team at PwC, she served as a senior manager in their DC office until her departure in 2004.

Sheri holds CPA licenses in Texas and Virginia. She earned her B.S. degree in Commerce, with an Accounting concentration and History minor, from the University of Virginia.

She has volunteered for the Audit Committee of the American Psychological Foundation since 2007 and as a risk management advisor to the Alpha Phi Sorority Chapter of St. Mary’s University since 2016.
