About UTSA Business Affairs

The Business Affairs division at The University of Texas at San Antonio comprises the following offices: Budget and Financial Planning, Business Contracts, Business Information Services, Communications, Facilities, Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Public Safety and Purchasing. Business Affairs is a 24/7 support operation for UTSA. We manage building operations, budgeting process, university finance, student financial services, purchasing, travel and entertainment, safety, security, training, and much more.

Business Affairs is passionate about supporting UTSA in transforming lives through education. We do this through our partnerships with the university community to improve service, safety, efficiency, effectiveness and the well-being of UTSA faculty, staff, and students.

Business Affairs continually challenges our leaders to promote change, think and act creatively, and communicate effectively. Since progress can only be derived through change, the organization is constantly energized through staff’s creative ideas. The fundamental goal of Business Affairs is to deliver quality service through excellence, while exceeding customer expectations. We support a culture that promotes and rewards change, creativity, and communication. We work with colleagues throughout the university to support UTSA's strategic plan and to reach the three destinations that drive university initiatives forward.
