Workshops and Conferences

Workshops and Events

The UTSA Career Center office schedules several workshops each semester which may provide helpful information as you explore your career options. It's best to RSVP for these events so that enough handouts are prepared. We also are eager to present to your class or student organization and can tailor the presentation to your specific needs.

Regularly scheduled events include:

Career Exploration Workshops

  • Careers in… topics vary each semester but generally will include an overview of the industry with handouts.
  • Employer Panel Discussions – offered in several discipline or industry areas. These panels bring two or more employers to the campus to discuss their day to day tasks, career paths, skill sets desired and much more. And there is always time for your questions as well.
  • Internships 101 – One of the best ways for college students to not only gain valuable work experience but to also fine-tune your career aspirations is by tackling one or more internships. Employers hiring new grads want to see work experience in your career field--and internships are the way to obtain that experience. This workshop provides an overview to assist you with locating, applying for, and landing an internship! The sooner you start, the more likely that you’ll find something that would be beneficial.
