Online Career Library

Career Center has many resources for information about career exploration, job search, internships, employers, and other career-related topics. Counselors can offer you access to print materials including the Book of Lists Employer Directory and a wide variety of other job-search related materials.

Following are a few online resources created to assist you with career decisions, do research related to your job search, or help you prepare for graduate/professional school:

  • What Can I Do With This Major?
    Lists popular majors and cross-references them with related career ideas and additional resources.
  • Reference USA
    (Campus-wide/Remote Access through John Peace Library)
    Directory of about 11 million U.S. public and private companies. Use this resource to research large and small companies. Can be searched geographically throughout the U.S.
  • Vault.com (for this resource Login to RowdyJobs)
    This comprehensive online library of company research and career-related information can help students make better career decisions. Resources include Industry Career, Employer and Career Topic Guides which are downloadable and free for students of the University of Texas at San Antonio.   • Each year, the Career Center Office compiles a Job Search Guide which incorporates resume and cover letter samples with interview tips and other job-search related topics. Click here to open the PDF file and access your own copy of this useful guide.
