Developing a Presence on Campus

The UTSA Career Services staff encourages you to consider one or more methods of publicity to make students aware of your company's visit to the UTSA campus.

Advertise in our Job Search Guide: We produce a Job Search Guide for students at the beginning of each Fall semester. An ad in this publication will increase your name recognition on campus. For the latest information on this option contact Bruce Howard at 458-7485 or bruce.howard@utsa.edu

Provide Employer Information:
The Career Services Office maintains bulletin boards across the campus and an employer library containing company literature, videos, and binders. Please send recruiting materials, hard copy or digital, to UTSA Career Services, Recruiting Coordinator, One UTSA Circle, San Antonio, TX 78249

Career Development Workshops: Co-sponsor and present career development workshops to UTSA students on resume writing, interviewing skills, or dress for success. Career Services is happy to assist with presentation materials, and arranges all event logistics for the Career Development Workshops.

Information Session: These sessions allow recruiters to present an overview of the company through PowerPoint presentations, videos, slides, etc. For more information, contact Recruiting Coordinator, at 210-458-4593 or email Bruce Howard at bruce.howard@utsa.edu.

Career Partners: Volunteering to participate in our Career Partner program will increase your on-campus visibility and awareness. Areas where employers may help include:
  • workshop presentations,
  • conducting mock interviews,
  • class presentations,
  • hosting site visits,
  • job shadowing and
  • sponsoring class projects.
  • If you would like more information about the Career Partners program please contact Bruce Howard, Assistant Director, Employer Relations at 210-458-7485 or email Bruce.Howard@utsa.edu

Career Fair:On average, 1000 students of all academic areas attend our career fair each spring and fall semester. This is a great opportunity to interact with UTSA students and recruit for positions within your organization.
