Personal Bio: Everett Espinoza has been an INROADS intern at Lockheed for 3 terms (2 consecutive summers and a spring long semester) as well as a summer term at IBM.  During the first two internships at Lockheed Martin, Everett worked in the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) group engaging in general business process along with application and database development.  In the summer of 2005 projects included testing and evaluating developing tools through examination of diligence and cost effectiveness to determine the best direction for future development projects.  In the summer of 2006 he assisted in improving the downstream process between the IS&T group and suppliers by partnering with a team to prototype a new computer application while learning a number of programming languages.  In the spring of 2007, he was tasked to develop a database managing system to centralize the storage of intern information as well as automate the tracking of job placement for current, returning, and prospective interns.  Serving his first internship at IBM Internet Security Systems in the summer of 2007, Everett was positioned in the Management Support Services (MSS) where he actively engaged in gaining exposure to network security fundamentals through device monitoring (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems) and event escalation; other projects included reading new hire training material and providing management with recommendations for improvement along with organizing and migrating training documentation along with operations material to department’s internal Wiki.

Goals and Aspirations:
Everett plans on pursuing a graduate degree in information security and seeking employment at various companies within defense, computer, and other related industries.
