What Did you do?
I Provided assistance to Mining, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers in the following scenarios: TX DOT Soundness Lab, Automation, Truck Shop, Washer Plant, Dispatch, Rail Load Out, and IT. Manufactured a computer system, both hardware and software to be used in the Martin Marietta Washer plant in Dallas
What did you gain from this experience?
I gained plenty of Hands-on experience and motivation because I got to see a little of my future.
Why would you recommend this to other students?
I would recommend it to other students because this experience is valuable on many different levels. It gives you goals and a first look at what an engineer is doing in this environment. Also what is asked of from your employer and not to mention the value you would give to a company like this.
Do you have any other advice for students?
Make sure you gain experience for your own benefit and not the money or because you have to do it.
