Second Open House and Student Poster SessionThe Chemistry Department at The University of Texas at San Antonio is holding an Open House on August 30, 2008. This Open House is intended to showcase our new Biotechnology Sciences and Engineering (BSE) Building and Ph.D. program, and to foster research collaborations within the region. You and your students are cordially invited. We plan to provide tours of the new research laboratories, information about our Ph.D. program, and also ample time for informal discussions. The formal program will begin at 9 A.M. and end at approximately 3 P.M. Coffee, juice, and pastries will be provided from 8:30-9:00 AM, in addition to a boxed lunch at noon. The Open House will include a student poster session and we encourage your students to present their research at this activity. The deadline for submitting poster information is August 25, 2008. Please email the title of your presentation, author list, institution, address, email, phone/fax numbers to: chemistry@utsa.edu. The posters must be compatible with ACS standard pushpin friendly boards (3ft x 6ft) for general display. Poster presenters should be present to answer questions from 1 PM to 3 PM. Awards will be given for the best presentations. Attendees should use Parking lot #7 (see map for location) to avoid being ticketed by UTSA Police Dept. Please see www.utsa.edu/maps/1604/ for maps.
