scholarships awarded by the College of Sciences require the
recipient to

be
actively pursuing a degree in the College of Sciences
·
unless otherwise stated, be enrolled full time (minimum of 12
hours for undergraduates and 9 hours for graduate students).
COLLEGE
OF SCIENCES DEAN’S SCHOLARSHIP
Award:
Number and amount of awards vary

Must be an incoming freshman
·
Must have completed no more than 12 hours of college coursework
·
Must have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA and a minimum 3.0 GPA in
all college courses taken

Must have a minimum SAT sore of 1000 with at least 560 on
mathematics section, or a minimum ACT composite score of
24 with at least
25 on the mathematics section
·
Must have completed college preparatory courses, including four
years of mathematics section<>

CHARIMAN’S AWARD
Award: $500
The award goes to a “meritorious, needy or otherwise qualified
student” as recommended to the chairman by the

submitted to the STGS before the end of April.
