Bacterial Cytoplasmic Protein Complexes
Bacteria contain filaments and microcompartments that are necessary for growth and activity. Dr. Renthal's lab has developed a new high-resolution method, LRET, for measuring molecular-scale distances in living bacterial cells. LRET will be used to study assembly and dis-assembly of filaments and microcompartments.
