Reservations

To schedule a reservation or request services, all users must sign-in through the iLab scheduling system which requires the one-time crationg of an iLab Profile. Please contact Pbc@utsa.edu for all reservation questions.

To Create an iLab Profile
  1. Navigate to the Protein Biomarker Core page at https://utsa.corefacilities.org/service_center/show_external/3641/protein-biomarker-core
  2. Click the log-in option in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Click on here in the UT San Antonio user section of the pop-up box.
  4. Log in using your UTSA ID and Passphrase.
  5. Upon successful authentication, you will be prompted to select your PI/lab from the pull-down list and provide your phone number
  6. Submit the completed registration form. Submission notifies your PI of your lab membership request.
  7. You will be sent an email with basic instructions on using the system; however, you will not be able to place orders until your PI has approved your lab membership request.
To Create a Service Request

Once you have been accepted into your PI’s lab and assigned a Fund Number, you can submit requests.

  1. Log-in using your UTSA ID and Passphrase.
  2. Select the Request Services tab and click the Request Service button next to the service of interest.
  3. You will be asked to complete a Sample Submission Form and provide payment information for your request before submitting the request to the core.
  4. Your request will be pending review by the core. The core will add charges and submit it back to you for approval. Make sure to watch for an email from iLab regarding your updated project.
To Create an Equipment Reservation

Once you have been accepted into your PI’s lab and assigned a Fund Number, you can place orders and schedule equipment time.

  1. Log-in using your UTSA ID and Passphrase.
  2. Select the Schedule Equipment tab and click on the View Schedule button next to the instrument of interest. Click and drag the time frame you would like to schedule your reservation.
  3. A window will pop up that allows you to verify your reservations details and provide payment information before saving the reservation.
  4. Your reservation will need to be approved by the core. You can confirm this by viewing your homepage (click the Home button in the upper left corner of the iLab window).
