Jesse Zapata, Vice Provost for the UTSA Downtown Campus

As we approach the end of the Fall 2011 semester, I would like to thank everyone for your continued commitment to making the UTSA Downtown Campus the success that it is today. I would also like to point out that 2012 will mark the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Downtown Campus at this location. In these 15 years, the campus has made an enormous contribution to the San Antonio community.

The articles in this issue of the Downtown Campus newsletter illustrate the commitment that the Downtown Campus faculty and staff have made in providing a great education to our students, service to our community, and the production of high level research.

I wish each and every one of you have a happy and safe Holiday Season and I look forward to celebrating our 15th anniversary with all of you next year.
