Certified Information Systems Security Professional Prep Course

This five-day lecture course prepares information security professionals for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) examination. Lectures cover in detail the eight security domains required for the CISSP examination. Students attending this course receive a Certificate of Completion.


The UTSA CISSP Prep Course distinguishes itself by focusing on the demonstration and practical application of course competencies. Our dedicated instructors do not 'teach for the test,' but rely heavily on their industry knowledge to educate participants on real world problem solving, preventative, and management techniques that can be applied directly to careers in information security.


Scope

The following 8 domains of the (ISC)2 CISSP Common Body of Knowledge will be covered in this course:

Multiple practice tests will be used throughout the course.

Prerequisites

Candidates with a minimum of five years full time security professional experience in at least 2 of the 8 domains (ISC)2 CISSP CBK, or four years of direct full time security professional work as noted and a four-year degree prior to taking the CISSP examination.


Associate status is available to those knowledgeable in key information security concepts who pass the examination, but require more work experience to qualify for CISSP certification.

CISSP (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional Official Study Guide (7th Edition) by Stewart, Chapple, and Gibson.

Course Schedule & Fee

The cost of the five day training course is $1,595.


A payment plan is available for three equal payments with a $10 transaction fee associated with each payment.
