This workshop for new and experienced teachers will review materials, course outlines, content-related handouts, student samples, and scoring guidelines from the most recent administration of the AP exam. The course will focus on pedagogical techniques and content-specific strategies that you can use in the classroom, providing practical, yet innovative, lessons and reading suggestions to enhance the traditional AP English Literature curriculum. Special focus will be given to testing strategies, literature circles, and short assignments and assessments that stimulate higher order thinking. Participants are invited to bring computers and favorite texts to the session.
