Lean Healthcare Fundamentals

If you could change a typical day in your hospital:

  • Would staff engage in their daily goals like never before with ownership and pride?

  • Would leaders spend more time developing staff to think more critically and problem solve on key goals?

  • Would chaos give way to structure? 

  • Would endless marathon meetings change to daily 15-20 min focused huddles driven by staff?

Deliverables

  • Leaders, physicians and staff learn Lean Healthcare Fundamentals in a team based setting addressing real healthcare challenges

  • Teams compete to improve key hospital/clinic level goals by applying classroom learning to team based hospital challenges

  • Leaders and staff learn key Lean principles such as waste, 5S, flow, standard work, A3 problem solving, balanced work and Lean layout and apply these principles to their team based challenges and workplace

  • Leaders and staff learn huddle board development
