Online Continuing Education Programs

The University of Texas at San Antonio, in partnership with ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.

Our programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, providing you with effective web-based learning programs. Instructors/mentors are actively involved in your online learning experience, responding to any questions or concerns, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.

What to Expect
  • Programs are delivered in two learning methods: instructor-led and self-paced. The programs follow an asynchronous learning model. You will be given a limited time to complete the required coursework, however you may complete the program sooner than the standard timeframe.
  • Career Training programs are traditionally 3 to 12 months in length. Online Fundamental courses are traditionally six weeks or less.
  • Online Career Training Programs and Online Fundamentals courses are not eligible for college credit.

Bexar County Skill Clusters

Through an analysis of over 68,000 job postings in Bexar County, UTSA identified the most sought after skillsets by employers. For inclusion in the analysis, a posting must request a high school diploma or an associate's degree as the highest education level required to apply.

The top five skill clusters included: administrative support, customer support, healthcare, information technology, and sales. Often, multiple skill clusters were found in a single job posting. For instance, an information technology job posting may also request customer support skills.

Our Career Training Programs are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field and are aligned with in-demand, fast-growing careers. Programs are designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions.

Fundamental Courses

Instructor-led courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient, easy to use, and lead by an expert instructor. New sessions start monthly and are in six week formats with lessons released on the third Wednesday of each month.

Building Community

This training program is delivered to the San Antonio community through a partnership with Ed2Go.
