The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a standardized test designed to measure basic critical reading, math and writing skills. Most colleges and universities request SAT score results from applicants. Standardized tests are an important factor in the admissions process, and students should do their best to show schools that they know their stuff. UTSA Extended Education offers intensive one–day SAT intro workshops designed to familiarize students with the SAT and to provide them with the tools they’ll need to succeed on the test. The course consists of three 2–hour workshops, one focused on each major content area of the SAT. Typically, the course takes place on a Saturday about a month before an SAT test and the workshops run 8am–10am, 10am–12pm, and 1pm–3pm. The course is a low cost alternative to traditional SAT preparation courses for students who might not have the scheduling or budgetary flexibility to commit to a 6–8 week course.
To learn more about the SAT, please visit The College Board website. Cost of the workshop (to include workbooks) are listed below. Cost of the workshop (to include workbook) is $80.
