Financial Affairs Staff Members Receive Good Guy Award

10/07/11: The UTSA Graduation Initiative (GI) honored Financial Affairs’ very own Ann Roberts and Linda Gall with the Fall 2011 GI Good Guy Award for their exemplary service towards students, as well as to the GI.

In the recognition piece published in the GI’s October 2011 newsletter, while Ann’s end-of-year and fall semester reporting responsibilities prevented her from sitting for an interview, Linda graciously accepted questions and provided insightful answers regarding her job duties, her service-oriented approach towards students, and her family as a support system.

As a Financial Services Associate II, Linda provides solid advice to students regarding financial aid, and, as most of her interaction with students is done via telephone, her attention to a student’s vocal tone can clue her in to the gravity of any student’s situation.

When handling her full-time job duties in the Financial Affairs office is done for the day, Linda makes her way to the classroom, where she pursues her own graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management.

You can read more about Linda’s and Ann’s GI Good Guy Award Recognition in this month’s Graduation Initiative Newsletter.

Congratulations ladies!
