Book Loans
Who can apply?
Any UTSA student enrolled in at least half-time enrollment is eligible to apply. You do not have to be a financial aid recipient in order to apply. You must not have a prior semester Fiscal Services balance or any type of financial hold (parking fine, library fine, etc.).
How do I apply?
The book loan is not available through ASAP. The Student Financial Aid & Enrollment Services staff will process book loans for the Summer/Fall semester from 8:00am to 4:00pm at the Financial Aid and Enrollment Services Center counter on the following dates:
- May 8- May Minimester
- May 30- Summer 1 term and 10 week term
- July 7- Summer 2 term
- August 22- FAll 2008 term
Funds will be available for pickup at any Fiscal Services Office between 9am and 4pm.
Students may also apply for the book loan at the UTSA Downtown Campus Student Financial Aid & Enrollment Services Counter.
Loan requests will be processed on a first-come first-serve basis until funds are exhausted. Once funds are exhausted, a waiting list will be made available.
What will I need to apply?
- You must be registered in at least half-time enrollment
- You must have a photo ID
- Complete name, address, and telephone number information for three references: one parent (or another relative if both parents are deceased), one relative, one non-relative; spouse, if applicable, spouse’s employer, if applicable, and your employer, if applicable. Important: Three references provided must have different addresses. You will use this information to fill out the book loan worksheet prior to being granted a book loan.
