Student & Guest Admission Cost

All students currently enrolled at UTSA are eligible to get in free to all football games. UTSA Students may purchase up to four guest tickets for student section seating. Guest tickets are sold at $10. Season tickets are not sold in student sections.

If students do not want to sit in the student sections, they may purchase an individual or season ticket at the normal rate to get a seat elsewhere in the Alamodome. Otherwise, they must sit in the student section.

TICKET PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Tickets cannot be cancelled after printing.

Box office opens 2 1/2 hours before kickoff. Doors open 90 minutes before kickoff.

Student Ticket Accounts

Students will have secure, personal accounts in the Ticketmaster ticket system from which to: (a) manage their account information, (b) track their attendance history, (c) print their ticket, and (d) purchase guest tickets.

Directions to Buy Student Guest Tickets Online
Students will receive an account number and PIN to access their account. They can create a new PIN after logging on the first time. Students will receive their login information around the first day of class. Late registrants will receive their information later than that in subsequent reminder e-mails.

  • 1. Logging to Account Manager using the link at the top of the page. Your account ID and password have been e-mailed to your previously. Use your preferred e-mail address in ASAP as your account ID.
  • 2. After logging in, click on the Buy Student Guest Tickets link.
  • 3. Choose the game you want from the list of home Athletics events. Purchase up to 4 guest ticket for the student section, which is general admission seating.

Stadium Access

To gain access to the stadium on game days, students will need to bring their Student ID. All students and student guests must enter through one of the two designated Student Entrances at the Alamodome. These entrances are located in the northwest and southeast corners of the Alamodome. They may also purchase Guest tickets at the Alamodome box office by showing their ID. Doors will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

To ensure the safety of every guest, all persons will be subject to a bag check and a security scan. Items not permitted into the Alamodome must either be returned to your vehicle or be discarded. In order to accelerate the process, please leave any unpermitted items in your vehicle. Staff may not store or hold items for you. Please plan accordingly to allow time for these extra security procedures upon entering the Alamodome. The following items are not allowed in the Alamodome:

  • Weapons
  • Outside Food and Beverage
  • Glass of any kind
  • Coolers
  • Helium Balloons
  • Video Cameras
  • Point and shoot cameras only, detachable lenses are not permitted

At the doors
The first 5,500 students will receive a wristband to allow them access to the lower level student section. People with these wristbands will be the only ones allowed in those lower level sections as ushers will check for the proper color wristbands. Once these wristbands run out, students will then have to proceed to the club level for seating. If necessary, those 930 students also will receive a wristband to designate they have seating on the club level as opposed to the upper level.

Student Section Seat Location
The UTSA student section at the Alamodome consists of sections 122-131 on the lower level and sections 220-226 on the club level. There are 5,500 seats in the lower level for students and 930 more on the club level. An additional 5,647 seats will be held in the upper level for students for any game that requires the upper level to be open (sections 320-329). Seating for students in these designated student sections is general admission.
