Biographical Sketch:
My research interest is in plant ecology with a focus on changes in
function and structure of plant communities. I am particularly interested
in the belowground or root aspects of herbaceous and woody plant species and how
it affects their growth, survival, reproduction, and distribution.
Additional interest includes the aboveground relations of these two growth-forms
with emphasis on photosynthesis, plant water status, soil moisture relations,
plant nutrient relations, and environmental injury of plants.
Current
Research:
Currently studying plant water relations and photosynthetic capacities of
two common species on the Edwards Plateau, Juniperus ashei and Carex planostachys.
