Environmental Science and Engineering
The College of Engineering and College of Sciences offers the opportunity for advanced study and research leading to the
Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering.
Areas of research emphasis include natural resources, especially water
resources, land and air resources.
Dissertation research
may focus on hydrology, water
quality, water pollution control, waste disposal, environmental quality,
remediation, ecology, conservation, restoration, contaminants, air pollution
control, global change, atmospheric chemistry, environmental geochemistry,
environmental microbiology, microbial geochemistry, volcanic hazards, tectonics,
seismic hazards, or other anthropogenic changes.
