Hydrogeology -
numerical modeling of groundwater resources, hydrogeology and paleohydrology of
sedimentary basins, flow in the unsaturated zone, hydrologic field techniques,
environmental site assessment.
Aqueous geochemistry
- groundwater quality, environmental isotope hydrology, geochemistry of brine,
geochemical modeling.
Background -
Dr. Dutton is one of
our newest faculty members and comes to us from the Bureau of Economic Geology,
and University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas. Dr. Dutton brings to our
education program hydrogeologic modeling experience. He has a
well-established and respected research record with numerous publications and
presentations. Dr. Dutton has published in such prestigious peer-reviewed
journals as the Geological Society of American Bulletin, Quaternary Research,
Geology, Ground Water, the Journal of Sedimentary Research, Hydrological
Processes, and the Journal of Hydrology.
