STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: A one to two page statement can be attached to the online application. Include your legal name and program of interest at the top of each page.
RESUME OR CURRICULUM VITAE: Please submit as an attachment to the online application.
TRANSCRIPTS: Submit official transcripts from every institution you attended including community colleges. Transcripts should be mailed from your institution directly to the University of Texas at San Antonio Graduate School.
GRE OR GMAT TEST SCORES: Please submit GRE or GMAT test scores depending on your program of interest. Please refer to program requirements and application deadline for more information. Test scores must be received directly from ETS to be considered official. We do not accept photocopies of test scores. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) code for the University of Texas at San Antonio is 6919.
An applicant whose program of interest requires either the GRE or GMAT must submit test scores before a decision can be reached. Applicants without test scores have the option of applying under the Special Graduate classification on page 3 of the online application. You can take GRE/GMAT Test Preparation Workshops through the office of P-20 Initiatives. You can view the GRE flyer or the GMAT flyer.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Two or three letters of recommendations (varies by program of interest) must be submitted from faculty members acquainted with you. The Recommendation form is available on the online application. If unable to secure recommendations from faculty members, contact a Graduate Advisor for your program of interest to see whether recommendations from those familiar with your professional performance might be acceptable.
Application materials (including test scores and transcripts) are maintained at the Graduate School for one year from the time the application was submitted. If you submitted an application over a year ago, you may be required to re-submit all materials.

Graduate Degree-Seeking Students
A graduate degree-seeking student is one admitted to a graduate degree program.

Special Graduate Students
A special graduate student is one admitted to UTSA for the purpose of enrolling in master's-level and/or undergraduate courses without currently entering a degree program.
