2008 Presidential Dissertation Fellowships Awarded to Students
The Graduate School is pleased to announce the awarding of three Presidential
Dissertation Fellowship's for the Spring 2008 semester. The awardees are each enrolled in a doctoral program at UTSA, have passed qualifying exams, have successfully defended their dissertation proposal, have a dissertation committee that has officially been approved by their program's Graduate/Doctoral Program Chair, and are enrolled in at least 3 hours of Dissertation during the Spring 2008 semester. These outstanding candidates were chosen for completing their program in a timely fashion, demonstrating excellence in their coursework as evidenced through their transcript, and demonstrating that their research makes an important contribution to their field of study as evidenced through their project description and past research presentations/publications which they have had accepted. They have also clearly articulated how the fellowship funds can contribute to the completion/dissemination of their dissertation project.
The following 3 scholars were awarded Fellowships. Each will receive $2,000 - $3,000 in funds to further their dissertation work.
