GPEC Report on the External Review
- A report, discussing the reviewers’ impressions (along with any recommendations) must be submitted to the Graduate Council no more than four weeks after the site visit.
- Upon receiving that report, The Graduate Council Program Evaluation Committee will send a copy to the program. The program is invited to submit a written response to the GCPEC within two weeks.
- Members of the Graduate Council’s Graduate Program Evaluation Committee will then construct a final report that will summarize the reviewer’s comments, the self-study comments, and the written responses from the program. There will also be a short summary of program strengths, weaknesses and recommendations.
- The report should be submitted to the chair of the Graduate Council’s Graduate Program Evaluation Committee for approval. If approved, it will be placed on the agenda for the next Graduate Council meeting. At the next Graduate Council meeting, it will be presented and voted on for approval by the council.
- Program copies should be provided to the program’s Dean, Department Chair and the Graduate Program Committee. The chair of the Graduate Program Committee will be invited to attend the presentation to the Graduate Council. If the report is approved by the Graduate Council, it will be submitted to the Graduate School and the Office of the Provost. Programs may discuss recommendations directly with their Department Chair, Dean and/or the Office of the Provost.
