Graduate Program Evaluation at UTSA The Graduate Program Evaluation Committee of the Graduate Council is responsible for periodically assessing the quality of graduate education at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Programs are to be reviewed within five years after their implementation and every ten years thereafter with the following exceptions: (1) the program subject to review is under an accreditation review. In this situation, the program may elect to combine (within one year) the external accreditation review with the review by the Graduate Program Evaluation Committee (2) graduate programs utilize common faculty and resources. In this instance, it is considered ideal to put off a program’s review so that it may be reviewed at the same time the other program is up for review. Elements of the Program Review GPEC Report on External Review (Report to the GC) Final Report (Follow up Report) For more information about the purpose of formal graduate program reviews please visit the Council of GraduateSchool’s website: http://www.cgsnet.org. The website has information on how to order their latest publication of Assessment and Review of Graduate Programs: A Policy Statement.
