The Head Start Summer Institute has various advisors. They are:
Marian Paul
serves as the Assistant Director of Advising for the Head Start Summer Institute for UTSA students.She has a B.S. in Psychology with a Marketing minor from Texas A & M University. She attended graduate school in Social Psychology at UT Austin, and studied Counseling Psychology at Arizona State University and UTSA.
She has 18 years of experience in higher education with 15 years in academic advising. Marian began advising Teacher Certification students at UTSA in 1986, advised Communication majors at Arizona State University; as Director of Academic Advising in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts advised all majors in COLFA; and worked at ACCD as a UTSA Transfer Advisor advising all majors for UTSA. As Assistant Director of Transfer Advising, she researched articulation and wrote and edited transfer plans for more than 11 community colleges, and now serves as Assistant Director of Advising for Summer Institute.
Currently she advises students who are working on the B.A.A.S. in Early Childhood Language and Literacy Studies, or are prospective UTSA students- students in Summer Institute working on their A.A.S. at ACCD, ACC, and SWTJC.
