The Vagina Monologues is a theatrical production of several monologues that openly address issues such as sexuality, body image, sexual assault and gender inequalities in an effort to bring awareness and healing to violence against women.
Written by Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues has inspired the creation of V-Day, a global activist movement to stop violence against women and girls. She has devoted her life to stopping violence, envisioning a planet in which women and girls will be free to thrive, rather than merely survive.
This year's production will benefit two local nonprofit organizations:
The Rape Crisis Center
Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc.
