About us: We are a humble group of students, growing in size, which is interested in providing health issue outreach and information regarding services and opportunities available at Student Health Services to UTSA students, staff, and faculty. Our organization consists of students of all ages, undergraduates and graduates, and from all majors and interests. However, we all have one thing in common: we want to positively impact the health of the UTSA community.

Mission Statement: SHO is dedicated to providing information about medical health issues facing UTSA students, staff, and faculty so they can make educated choices. The members of SHO believe peer educators can play a uniquely effective role, unmatched by professional educators, in encouraging their peers to consider and develop responsible lifestyle habits and attitudes with regard to their health and overall well-being.
